During a press briefing in Abuja this morning, the acting Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike told journalist that the Federal Government has given the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) one week ultimatum to call off the ongoing strike.

Or else what? ASUU execs and President Jonathan were supposed to meet this week but the meeting is yet to hold. The ASUU strike began July 1, almost 5 months later, no resolution in sight. Sad!

The FG also said any Academic staff who fails to resume on or before December 4th automatically ceases to be a staff of the institution. Pro-chancellors of the various universities and the National Universities Commissions (NUC) have been directed to ensure compliance of this directive.

What a shame! Gov Oshiomhole tells a crying widow to 'go and die'!

"You're a widow, go and die!" That's what Governor Adams Oshiomhole said to widow during a sanitation exercise of Benin City with some state officials recently. The woman was hawking on the road side which is illegal in the state but to tell her to go and die after she knelt in front of him, crying and begging him not to seize her little means of livelihood, is just cold-hearted.

I'm so mad at the way he treated this woman. Wasn't he once a labour leader? Are these the kind of leaders we have? No compassion, no kindness? What a damn shame! See the video after the cut...

Awful performance irritates Airtel’s NGT Judges

From left, NGT Judges in the on-going Season Two, American-born on-air presenter, Dan Foster; Nollywood Actress, Kate Henshaw and Yibo Koko.
It was surprise galore at the Port Harcourt theatre audition of the ongoing Airtel sponsored Nigeria’s Got Talents Season 2 when Kate Henshaw and Dan Foster, both judges of the talent show, walked out on a young man, known as Heaven, for his awful performance.
The dull and careless attitude of Heaven infuriated Kate and Dan who asked him to stop singing immediately and leave the stage but Yibo, the third Judge made some effort to listen to the lacklustre performance of Heaven.
The slender built singer who hails from Port Harcourt, came on stage with so much optimism and desire to qualify for the next round of the competition, but gave an awful rendition of Asha’s inspirational hit song “Oju Mo Ti Mo”, to the dismay of both judges.

From The National Enquirer
Lamar Odom is demanding $10m to end his 4-year marriage to Khloe Kardashian!
Sources say the troubled NBA star has also taken a page out of his fellow hoopster Kris Humphries’ playbook by demanding Khloe’s $875,000 engagement ring back before he’ll agree to zip his lips about the K-clan’s secrets. Humphries got Kim Kardashian to return her $2 million engagement ring as part of their divorce agreement following their 72- day marriage in 2011. Odom, 34, laid out his conditions after “momager” Kris Jenner ordered Khloe, 29, to sit down with their attorneys and hammer out a divorce deal, an insider says.

"I am standing up and I'm telling you I am Warhol. I am the number one most impactful artist of our generation. I am Shakespeare in the flesh, Walt Disney. And who's going to be the Medici family and stand up and let me create more? Or do you want to marginalize me till I'm out of my moment."
When radio host Sway asked him why he won't empower himself instead of begging corporations to back him, Kanye went absolutely ballistic! Y'all need to watch the video. Find it after the cut...
