Presidency denies media reports Jonathan will lead 19 governors to Israel.

The presidency yesterday described as a “misrepresentation of facts” media reports that president Goodluck Jonathan will lead 19 states governors and 30,000 Nigerians on a pilgrimage to Israel.

In a statement in Abuja yesterday, The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr Reuben Abati said though the president will leave for Israel later today for a pilgrimage,  ”irrespective of President Jonathan’s visit, thousands of Nigerians visit Israel annually during the pilgrimage season which goes on for months and they will undoubtedly do so again between now and early next year”. 

The statement reads: “President Goodluck Jonathan will late Wednesday embark on a pilgrimage  to Israel.

Woman Dies while having Unholy Ride, Lover Goes Into a Comma

Tragedy struck Sunday when a woman in her early 30s died during a sex romp with her boyfriend in Nkpor Uno in Idemili North Council Area of Anambra State. The police are yet to unravel the circumstances surrounding the lady’s demise.

The woman and her lover, identified simply as Ikechukwu, are said to have been making love inside their apartment. While the woman was found dead, the boyfriend was found unconscious two days later.

Tchidi Chikere moves in with Nuella Njubigbo as ex-wife finds love again

According to a new report by City People magazine this week, actress Nuella Njubigbo & Nollywood movie producer Tchidi Chikere have moved in together. Nuella, who has been dating Tchidi since before he divorced his actress wife Sophia Chikere, moved out of her Okota family home and moved into a new house with Tchidi at Graceland Estate in Ajah.

The couple reportedly moved in together a few months ago and are still decorating their new home. After reading this report I contacted Nuella's people to confirm the story and they said they have no comment on the matter. Nuella is known to vehemently deny reports if not true, she ain't denying this.

Meanwhile, Tchidi's ex-wife Sophia Chikere has also moved on. The mother-of-three is currently dating a UK based businessman. See their loved up pics after the cut...

100 yrs after: ‘Titanic’ ship to sail again in new movie

Australian mining tycoon, dinosaur park enthusiast and political force Clive Palmer Monday pegged out a new role for himself — a deckchair cameo in a movie he plans about the Titanic.

Palmer has made waves with his bid to build Titanic II — a replica of the doomed luxury liner which sank more than a century ago — which is scheduled to make its first Atlantic crossing in 2016.

“Due to worldwide interest in @titanic_ii I’ve registered ‘Palmer Pictures’. Will look at making a movie about its maiden voyage #titanic,” he tweeted.

“@titanic_ii The ship where dreams come true,” he added later.

Wizkid performs to an almost empty hall, he ain't worried about it tho

Shey na ASUU strike cause this one? Abuja people didn't turn out for Wizkid's Abuja Live Invasion concert that held yesterday at the International Conference Centre as most of the front seats were empty. The show also featured his other EME label mates - Skales, Niyola, and Shaydee. 

Regular ticket was N4k, V.I.P 10k, Table - N300/N500k and it was mostly the regular seats that were taken....others nearly empty. But like Wizkid tweeted a few hours ago, he ain't worried about it!

Kanye West kicked off his 'Yeezus' tour in Seattle, yesterday Saturday October 19th and before his performance of his College Dropout hit song, Jesus Walks, a man dressed as Jesus walked on stage and Kanye jokingly asked "White Jesus, is that you?… Oh, shit!,". Later, Kanye and his female back-up dancers bowed to the Jesus look-alike as he stood on the mountain top.

Kendrick Lamar was Kanye's opening act. He performed a nine-song set which included songs off his "good kid, m.a.a.d. city" album. Watch the video of Jesus Walks performance after the cut...

President Jonathan will probe aviation minister - Presidency

President Jonathan will soon order relevant government agencies to investigate the purchase of two bulletproof vehicles for the Minister of Aviation, Ms Stella Oduah, Punch reports.

Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Ahmed Gulak, in an interview with Punch on Friday said President Jonathan would not shield the minister.

Gulak, however, said the President would not take a decision on the fate of the embattled minister based on media reports.

He said Jonathan’s decision would be based on verifiable facts, which could only be achieved when relevant government agencies investigate the matter.

The presidential aide said Jonathan would not hesitate to show anybody found guilty of corruption or impunity the way out of his government.

ASUU Strike UNIABUJA Student Attempts Suicide, Says It Was a Better Option

Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike has taken a new turn after a female planned to end her life in protest of the nearly four months old strike. The Saturday event took place at the Dutse-Alhaji area of Abuja.

The female student identified as Jane Okoro had already hanged herself, but fell off the ceiling while struggling, apparently because the rope she used was not strong enough.

In a well orchestrated plan, Jane sent her two younger brothers on an errand so that they would not be there to witness the abominable act.

Act Of God?: Embarrassing Roof Leakages At The Indoor Halls Of Lagos International Airport

It all dawned on most of us on October 3, when an Embraer 120 aircraft with registration number 5N-BIT operated by Associated Airlines on a flight to Akure, Ondo State, crashed at the domestic wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, minutes after take-off.

The aircraft, carrying the remains of the former Ondo State governor, Dr Olusegun Agagu, had 20 people, including its crew members, on board. At least 14 of the victims have so far died.

This was a sobering experience which Nigerians were still trying to grapple with when aviation minister, Stella Oduah, fouled the air with her comment that the crash was an ‘inevitable act of God’.

Jamila Love Williams, a former Maths teacher at a Michigan high school, will spend eight to 15 years in prison for her illicit affairs with four teenage students.

The mothers of her victims — who were between 15 and 16 years old at the time of the sex assaults — had bitter words for Williams, 36, at a court hearing in Grand Rapids, Mich. on Oct. 15.
